The present study aims at investigating the effect of submerged arc welding fluxes for enhanced corrosion resistance of structural steel welds. Corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of weld metal such as tensile strength, impact strength, micro-hardness and microstructure in submerged arc weldments are evaluated. A combined approach of experimental and analytical methods is used and models for corrosion resistance and mechanical properties in terms of welding parameters is developed.en
