On Central Automorphisms That Fix The Centre Elementwise

Abstract

In this thesis we prove that if G is a finite p − group,then the group of all central automorphisms fixing the centre elementwise is equal to the group of all inner automorphisms of G if and only if G is abelian or G is nilpotent of class 2 and Z(G) is cyclic.
