Continuous industrial development poses serious problems of construction and demolition waste disposal. Whereas on the one hand, there is critical shortage of natural aggregates (NA) for production of new concrete, on the other the enormous amounts of demolished concrete produced from deteriorated and obsolete structures creates severe ecological and environmental problem. One of the ways to solve this problem is to use this ‘waste’ concrete as aggregates. Such ‘recycled’ aggregate could also be a reliable alternative to using natural aggregates in concrete construction. This research investigates the inter-relationships between aggregate properties and concrete properties .Three different types of cements alongwith four recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) replacement percentages (i.e., 0%, 30%, 60% and 90%) with water-cement ratio 0.42,0.45,0.48 & 0.51 are considered in this work. Based on the test results, the influences of both recycled coarse aggregate replacement percentages and water- cement ratio on the compressive strength were investigated. It is observed that a combination of PPC along with 90% replacement of aggregate with RCA will lead to the products of both economical, and sustainable mix.en
