Aluminium metal matrix composites are a class of advanced materials which have been developed for weight-critical applications in the aerospace and automotive industries. The present investigation aims to establish the Tribological behavior of Al 6063 hybrid metal matrix composite reinforced with hard SiC and lamellar structure particulates (Gr and MoS2). Composites were fabricated by stir casting process and studied using a pin-on- disk apparatus under dry sliding conditions. The effect of various input parameters (composition, normal load, sliding distance, sliding velocity) on output responses (wear and coefficient of friction)have been analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The worn surfaces of the samples were analyzed using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) to analyze the various elements present in the hybrid composite. Main effect plot and interaction plot has been used to determine the optimal design for each output response.en
