Abstract
In this thesis work, we study the effect of noise on the optical frequency comb. We
consider a microresonator system made of a vertical surface-emitting laser with a graphene
saturable absorber. The investigation is done by solving the complex Ginzburg-Landau
equation that represents the microresonator system. The split-step Fourier method-based
code is used to solve the governing equation and to get the optical frequency comb. The
different range of optical frequency comb is identified. Different sets of optical frequency
comb are observed for the different ranges of the signal-to-noise ratio. We study how the
optical frequency comb changes with a change in the operating wavelength. These results
may help in the enhancement of the performance of optical frequency comb.
