This study highlights the importance of Natural product Chalcone derivative in development of novel anticancer agent. The natural anticancer drug can increases survival rates with the least amount of side effects as possible and cost-efficient. The idea of attacking alternate death pathways and promoting multiple death pathways simultaneously is on the rise and may finally be a hopeful remedy for cancer. NPC-007 inhibits the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway and induces apoptosis via extrinsic pathways in human leukemia HL-60 cells. NPC007 decreased the expression of mitochondrial associated anti-apoptotic proteins Bcl-2 in a concentration-dependent manner.NPC-007 induce loss of mitochondrial potential, which activate caspase-9, caspase-3 and PARP-1 cleavage. NPC-007 also arrests the cell cycle at G1 phase and cause cell death by apoptosis in human leukemia HL-60 cells.en
