Nanoparticles of magnetite are synthesized by co-precipitation method at room temperature. This as prepared sample is heated at 800 ºC in air for three hours to prepare another sample of larger crystallite size. Structural and morphological characterizations of both samples are done by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope. Magnetic behaviors of samples are studied using vibrating sample magnetometer. Observations on both samples are discussed and compared.en_US
