This research was conducted in pursuit to investigate the correlations between perceived stress, general self-efficacy, and quality of life among individual suffering from substance use disorders in Northern India, framed within the context of Conservation of Resources (COR) theory. Selfefficacy showed a positive correlation with quality of life (r = .467, p < .001), while perceived stress revealed a negative correlation with quality of life (r = –.454, p < .001). Mediation analysis revealed that self-efficacy partially explained the association of perceived stress with quality of life. These findings highlight the substantial improvement in overall quality of life and the preservation of stress management linked to self-efficacy.
