| dc.description.abstract | Forreal-timesystems,correctnessofaprogramnotonlydependsontheproduced computational results,butalsoonitsabilitytodeliverontimetosatisfyspeci ed time constraints.Theobviousexampleissafety-criticalhardrealtimesystems, suchasautomobiles,avionicapplications,forwhichfailuretomeetaspeci ed deadline notonlyrendersthecomputationsuseless,butalsocanhavecatastrophic consequences. The speedanddensityofmulti-coreSoCshaveoutgrowntraditionaldebugging methodologiesandmakescomputingtheWorstCaseExecutionTimeevenmore di cult initstargetenvironment. WehaveaddressedtheproblemusingIn neondevelopedtechnologyknownasthe Multi-Core DebugSolution(MCDS).Usingadvancedon-chiptracetechniques that includeon-chiptriggergeneration,tracedatacompressionandtracestorage. MCDS providesonlytherelevanttracedatatothedebugtool.Withoutdoing SoftwareInstrumentationoraddingpinstothechip,MCDSenablesreal-time, in-system debugandperformanceoptimizationnon-intrusively.
