| dc.description.abstract | The thesis entitled “Synthesis of Natural Fragrance, Pheromone and Bioactive Compounds” is divided into four different chapters. The present thesis comprises the concise and enantioselective approaches towards asymmetric syntheses of (-)-trans-aerangis lactone, (S)-ethyl 4-methyloctanoate and (-)-clavaminol A and deacetyl (+)-clavaminol H. The key steps involved for asymmetric synthesis are Sharpless Asymmetric Dihydroxylation (AD)and organocatalyzed aldol reactions. | en_US |
