| dc.description.abstract | In the present work, exchange coupled BaFe12O19 (BaM)/NiFe2O4 (NiF) nanocomposite ferrite in the weight ratio of 70/30 was successfully prepared by physical mixing method. The effect of different milling media and milling time on structural and magnetic properties have been investigated. The coexistence of hard (BaM) and soft (NiF) phases in composite (C-4 (dry), C-12 (dry), C-20 (dry)) were confirmed by XRD analysis. The M-H loops of all BaM/NiF composite were obtained, which confirmed the exchange coupling between hard and soft ferrites. The XRD analysis of BaM/NiF ((C-24 (wet), C-24 (dry)) composite showed that the crystallite size is dependent on milling media. Smooth hysteresis loops without kink confirmed that BaM/NiF phases were well exchange-coupled. The presence of sharp intense peaks, higher crystallite size and higher magnetic properties of C-(wet) composite confirmed that wet milling media is more appropriate to obtain exchange-coupled composite with modified magnetic properties. | en_US |
