The study was conducted on 196 males and females to find out the ideal perception of the oneself and the preferences of the opposite gender towards their body image. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data obtained. The study found that females were more accurate in judging the opposite gender‟s preferences for the female‟s body image at both the younger age (20-29) and even at the elder age (30-40) when compared to the males who showed much of un-surety towards the female‟s preference for the male body figure.en_US
