Abstract
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is best known for its inexpensiveness and highly available as a
photocatalyst. In this report, we studied the parameters study using N, Co codoped TiO2 for the
degradation of Bisphenol-A under solar light. The N, Co codoped TiO2 was prepared by
heterogeneous mixture method using urea and Cobalt (II) Nitrate Hexahydrate [Co (NO3)2.6H2O]
and urea as the dopant source and well characterized by UV, XRD, EDS, SEM, and TEM,
techniques. The N, Co codoped TiO2 nanoparticles were found to be 95.55% anatase and 4.45%
rutile phase, with a narrow particle size distribution of 4–7 nm, having band bap of 3.2 eV, and
are cubic in shape. The process conditions for photocatalytic degradation of BPA using N, Co
codoped TiO2 under solar light have been optimized by varying operational parameters such as
catalyst loading, pH, initial concentration of the substrate have been examined.
