| dc.description.abstract | The role of women in the society is tremendous, In the times of industrialization and urbanization, women have marked their existence in male organized society. The present investigation was conducted to examine the anxiety and life satisfaction among working and non-working women. It was hypothesized that anxiety is more pronounced in working women than non-working women and life satisfaction is more in non-working women than working women. The study explored relationship between the anxiety and life satisfaction in working and non-working women. The study comprised a sample of one hundred (N=100) working and non-working women, from which fifty were working (N=50) and fifty were non-working (N=50). Taylors Manifest anxiety and Life Satisfaction Questionnaire by Ed were administered to measure anxiety and life satisfaction respectively. The t-test and correlation were computed to analyse the results and the study reveals that anxiety is more articulated in working women than non-working women and life satisfaction is more in non-working women than working women. The study reports inverse relationship between anxiety and life satisfaction. In the time of human advancement, work is significant correlate of life satisfaction. Therefore comparitive studies of working and non-working population and the strategies to improve their life can be beneficial. This review is basic as it studies female population which contributes significant part to the society. The satisfaction of the females decide the satisfaction of family, society and country as a whole. The present review advances to comprehend the female population in more compelling methodology which is valuable for arrangement making and group administrations. | en_US |
