dc.description.abstractCommercial detection is very important for TV broadcasting. In this report, various methods used for detecting commercials in digital video sequence are discussed. These different techniques for detecting advertisements in digital video sequence are based on different new techniques. Researchers have developed various typical techniques to detect and remove advertisements or commercials in video streams. Many of these exploit common differences between advertising and program material. Some of these techniques are based on featured based analysis of video or audio sequences. There are different types of videos like news, sports, movies and cartoon. Etc. And there might be different techniques available which might be best suitable for the detection.en
