A series of K loaded LDH mixed oxides were prepared by wet impregnation method and their catalytic activities were explored for transesterification of triglyceride. The physico-chemical properties of the catalysts were evaluated by powder XRD, SEM-EDS and Mapping, TGA, and FT-IR studies. The prepared catalyst was successfully employed for the transesterification of waste cottonseed oil (WCO). The catalytic amount of 5wt% of 10-K+/LDH catalyst (with respect to oil), shown higher conversion (97%) of biodiesel compared to other catalysts amount. 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR techniques were employed to quantify the FAME yield obtained during the transesterification reaction.en_US
