dc.description.abstractThe work described in the thesis involves synthesis of dipheylamine (Compound-1) by reaction of 2-nitrofluorobenzene and 2-aminophenol. Besides that allylic group of another eugenol based dipheyl ether (Compound-2) was converted to its corresponding iodohydrin (Compound-3) in the presence of sodium iodide and hydrogen peroxide in acidic medium. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H , 13 C NMR spectroscopy. GCMS and IR was also done for Compound- 3.en_US
