T In this work, Parametric Optimization of Multicarrier System using Metaheuristic Techniques has been carried out employing different optimization techniques namely Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), BAT Algorithm, Differential Evolution (DE) and Wind Driven Optimization (WDO). Best value of transmission parameters is obtained for a system comprising of 32 and 64 subcarriers. Multi-objective optimization involves solving parameter adaptation problem with three and five objectives that is solved using weighted sum approach. All the simulations are carried out in MATLAB, in order to compare all the four algorithms on the basis of average fitness value and average transmission parameters. Solving multi-objective optimization problem involving three conflicting objectives i.e. minimize BER, minimize transmit power and maximizing throughput while the problem involving five objectives involves two additional objectives i.e. minimizing of interference and maximizing spectral efficiency. To find effective optimization scheme, all algorithms are compared with the help of convergence characteristics and decision results for diverse modes.en_US
