Abstract: | The impact of entrepreneurship on a country's social and economic growth has piqued the interest of researchers all around the world. The United States, China, Japan, and other nations have addressed macroeconomic issues such as inflation and destitution by fostering entrepreneurial awareness. The present research examines whether it is feasible to stimulate entrepreneurial success through entrepreneurial motivation and Intentions with mediation of entrepreneurial training through entrepreneurial competencies. The primary reason for reviewing the mediation of entrepreneurial competencies was to analyse whether it enhances success in entrepreneurship. The dissemination of this awareness has been facilitated by the establishment of entrepreneurial education as a development priority. Even with great efforts, educational institutions cannot involve people in entrepreneurial learning activities if they are not motivated or willing to start small businesses. Entrepreneurial motivations serve as the initial catalyst for conducting research. The sample includes 288 male and 252 female graduates from Higher Education Institutions in four states in North India: Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Data was gathered through a survey of 540 respondents from six commercial and six public institutes among India's top 100 ranked institutions according to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). The analysis was conducted using Smart PLS. The conceptual model provided six hypotheses to investigate factors influencing entrepreneurial ambitions as well as the mediating effect of entrepreneurial competencies on entrepreneurial success. The Theory of Planned Behavior is used in the study to explain entrepreneurial incentives, which are based on entrepreneurial mentality, societal norms, and perceived behavioural control. The outcomes suggest that mediation of entrepreneurial competencies through training enhances the scope of success. The current study is notable because it highlights the importance of entrepreneurial drive and objectives as predictors of entrepreneurial perceived success. Furthermore, the study adds the mediation effect of entrepreneurial competencies to the existing body of evidence on entrepreneurship, which is promising. The improvements this study suggests making could help other programs that teach entrepreneurship improve the effectiveness of their organizations. The results of the analysis demonstrate that entrepreneurship education and training programs can help students at educational institutions enhance their entrepreneurial skills and increase the likelihood that a business will flourish. |
