The reort intends to give the reader an insight into the work done, the spec's of the implementation and the possible future trends in the this area. The project dealt with the implementation of a communication pathway between a number of terminals of a PC/AT running under xenix and the NEC $1000 mainframe. The software is referred to as ATMUX. The only add on hardware that is required for ATMUX software is the BSC card. Presently ATMUX does not support file transfer.
